Bruce Hymanson, PT, Creator of the Bodyblade®

The Bodyblade® was invented by California physical therapist, Bruce Hymanson in 1991. Bruce has been practicing physical therapy since 1977 and spent much of his career working with patients who have suffered trauma to the spine and extremities. His specialty lies in working with the neuromuscular system as a whole. His diverse experience of working in orthopedics, head injury, spinal cord and stroke rehabilitation led him to create Bodyblade.

Bruce is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and its private-practice and orthopedic sections.

Hymanson also spent many years teaching and lecturing at North Ridge Hospital to physical therapy students attending UCLA and USC.

Hymanson received his Bachelor of Arts in physical education in 1973 and his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1977 from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
