Bodyblade Testimonials

Sports Training and Rehabilitation

I have found Bodyblade to be a very versatile and valuable tool for evaluation and treatment of strength, coordination, and proprioception problems throughout the body. It is the most innovative and practical rehabilitative device I have seen in years.

– Elizabeth R. Ikeda, M.S. PT. O.C.S., The University of Montana, P.T. Dept.

I wanted to let you know how valuable we have found Bodyblade to be in the rehabilitation of our patients. We use it with the pre and post-op shoulders, knees and low backs. Its uses are only limited by the Therapist's imagination. My staff and my patients thank you.

– Valerie Sinkus, PT Professional Physical Therapy Associates, Inc.

Bodyblade is the most dynamic form of free weight muscle training because of the rapid rhythmic contractions produced during both upper extremity and lower extremity exercise. By reproducing the typical motions employed with free weight rehabilitation, we can further emphasize the vital co-contractions that occur with all joint movements. The Bodyblade has been included in our 'Therapeutic Exercise' curriculum as an important rehabilitation tool for muscle education and proprioceptive training; it demonstrates a capacity for muscle re-education focusing on co-contractions, a very dynamic aspect of joint stability and function.

– Daniel J. Cipriani, PT., A.T., C., Medical College of Ohio,Instructor, P.T. Program

We become more convinced each day that Bodyblade is our best piece of equipment. The Bodyblade appears deceptively easy until it is picked up and them it becomes a challenge.

– Dorothy M. Cook, PT Des Moines Physical Therapy Center

The Bodyblade affords our patients an effective means of rehabilitation while providing a fun challenge. We are sold on it!

– June Thomas, M.A. A.T., C. Redondo Physical Therapy, Kent, WA

Because our practice predominantly treats professional dancers, we see many foot, ankle and hip injuries. Since the Bodyblade has joined our equipment supply we have found many creative ways to enhance the endurance and proprioceptive abilities of our dancers, in weight bearing positions. We use it while sitting on a ball for partial weight bearing, standing in arabesque positions for stability or just to achieve a full body workout. Everyone enjoys the Bodyblade because they feel such a sense of accomplishment when they can make it move while they are moving. Thank you for inventing it!

– Marika Molnar, PT. Director Westside Dance Physical Therapy

I've used Bodyblades in my clinic for the past two years, treating a number of orthopedic patients ranging from wrist, shoulder and elbow to neck, thoracic and low back injuries. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Bodyblade as a very effective tool in treating and training all orthopedic problems. It's the most fun and challenging piece of equipment our patients have and they love it!

– Roger Wegley, PT. Ballard Physical Therapy

I lecture monthly to a group of prosthetists from all over the country on the benefits of PT for the amputee patient. In my opinion, if a patient wants one piece of equipment which will do an outstanding job at increasing strength and improving function, I highly recommend a Bodyblade.

– Randy T, PTA

Bodyblade, combined with the total gym and BOSU balance trainer and swimming are my personal tools for my own training sessions. When I travel, the Bodyblade goes with me for use in a hotel room. I have pain from osteoarthritis throughout my body. Bodyblade assists me in achieving better sleep at night. My clients especially seniors (even the 80s) share my feelings about Bodyblade and use it sometimes exclusively for their functional fitness training for strength, muscular endurance, and balance/stability.

The training effect is amazing for reducing joint pain; especially in the spine. The stabilization effect is amazing. I use it in my Living Room or on the front lawn. I keep it in my car to use away from home.

– Jim O'Meara, Personal Trainer

As a clinician with 24 years experience (12 of those working exclusively with professional golfers) I'm always looking for ways to more effectively train and treat my clients. I used the Bodyblade almost daily while working with professional golfers and found it to be a very effective tool in the treatment of low back, elbow, and shoulder problems. Motor control and body awareness is a big component in golf and the Bodyblade helps me train golfers to achieve and stabilize desired positions in patterns of movement specific to golf.
